Summary
The Jersey Index of Average Earnings measures the annual change in average earnings (gross wages and salaries) that have occurred and been paid to workers in Jersey.
It includes overtime payments, but excludes bonuses, employers’ insurance contributions, holiday pay and benefits in kind (such as free accommodation or meals). The 2025 Index measures changes in average earnings paid between June 2024 and June 2025, on a full-time equivalent (FTE) basis.
The index is compiled from earnings data collected from a large representative survey of firms in the private sector and from all Government of Jersey departments.
