The information Statistics Jersey collect helps to build a picture of life in Jersey today.
The statistics we produce on our society and economy are used by government, businesses, and individuals to make decisions and plan for the future.
To make sure our statistics are reliable and relevant, we need information that reflects the whole population of people and businesses.
Household surveys

Jersey children and young people survey
Producing a detailed and representative picture of the behaviours, attitudes and opinions of children and young people in Jersey.

Jersey opinions and lifestyle survey (JOLS)
Islanders are at the heart of Jersey and their opinions matter. Every year Statistics Jersey asks about the experiences and opinions of Islanders to help inform Government policy.

Living costs and household income survey
Collecting information about the income and spending habits of Jersey households.

Annual business survey
A key survey used to produce Jersey’s national accounts measures (GVA and GDP) and trade statistics

Average earnings survey
Responses to the survey are used to produce the Average Earnings Index which measures annual changes in earnings paid to workers.

Finding out the opinions of local businesses on business activity, employment and the economy
